Our History


Grandjean & Wagner was formed in 1990 by two accountants, Reg Grandjean and Steve Wagner, Central New York natives. Prior to forming the company, Reg and Steve held positions at larger local accounting firms. At these firms their typical clientele were larger area businesses. Reg and Steve began to notice a trend in the industry as accounting firms tended to shy away from the smaller clients by focusing their attention on the larger clients that did a great deal of business.


Realizing the demand of the market and having the basic desire to work with clients who were not receiving the attention they deserved, Reg and Steve resigned from their positions and formed Grandjean & Wagner. Their mission was to help deliver success to individuals and businesses by providing a professional level of service and focus on each client’s unique needs. In 2019, three new partners were added—Megan Beiter, Nick Beiter, and Brett Grandjean—and the company became Grandjean, Wagner, Beiter & Company.

1990

Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. is founded by Reg Grandjean and Steve Wagner

1998

The company’s first employee, Ann Hotchkiss, is hired and remains an employee today!

2001

After years of managing payroll for clients, a separate sister company, ChoicePay, Inc. is formed

2015

Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. celebrates 25th anniversary

2017

Grandjean & Wagner, Inc. and ChoicePay, Inc. voted as 2017’s “Best Places to Work For”

2018

Grandjean, Wagner, Beiter & Company is established - Nick Beiter, Megan Beiter, and Brett Grandjean become managing partners


2021

Grandjean, Wagner, Beiter & Company relocates down the street to new offices at 6690 Hammersmith Drive, East Syracuse
